What we do
Coaching is the process of empowering others helping them go from where you are now, to where you want to be. A coach is trained in a wide range of techniques to help you make, meet and exceed your goals in both your personal and professional life.
Knowing your core values and making sure they are present in all your life’s endeavours is the essential component in being fulfilled.
In the absence of clearly defined goals we are destined to drift through life. In 5 years time you will arrive somewhere, your goals decide where.
Knowing what your life’s purpose is and acting on it is at the heart of a meaningful and rewarding life.
If you are considering a change of career, or already know you are in the wrong one, a coach is trained in helping you discover what the right career is for you and what you need to do to get there.
Limiting beliefs can hold us back from experiencing the life we really want. It can also negatively affect our relationships and careers. A coach can give you the tools to overcome and redefine your limiting belief into an empowering one.
Relationships are one of the most important areas of out lives bringing much meaning and happiness. Overcoming relationship issues can free us from stress give us the support, love and happiness we desire.
Despite the connotations of a Coach telling you how to live your life, Coaching is completely non-directional, meaning they will never tell you, lead you or advise you what to do. A coach believes that the client as a unique individual has all the answers already. The coach is there to guide and support them through to process of discovery. Coaching is not therapy, counselling, or advice.
If you don’t have your own plan, someone else will find a way for you to fit into theirs. More than that, taking responsibility for all areas of your life is now more important than ever. The environment we live in pulls and pushes us in different directions and it can be easy to get distracted from our own path.
I structure the start of the Coaching relationship in the following way, then based on what you want to work on we go progress from there. As I coach people from all over the UK and Europe, Coaching sessions are typically conducted via Skype unless for a specific reason you have another preference.
This is a very general chat as an introduction, and that will give me a bit of background on where you are now, what areas you’d like to work on, and what you would like to achieve from coaching. It also gives you some information on the process and what you can expect from me during our sessions. This call also allows us to start our first session with a topic of your choosing rather than loosing some of the time to these details.
This is a form that allows me to gather more in depth background information from you and where you are now. You can provide as much or as little information you are comfortable giving. If you feel that this isn’t quite relevant to you at this time and you have clearly defined topic that you wish to work on, then we can approach your sessions that way too.
This is your preference. Sessions can last 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Longer sessions allow you to go into more depth and give you time to explore. Shorter more regular sessions can be preferred if you are short on time and know you like to work fast. It’s totally your choice.
